What are the uses of Convex mirrors?

Convex Mirrors:

Convex Mirrors always produce a virtual, erect, diminished reflection of the object situated in front of the mirror by the reflection of light.

Uses of Convex Mirrors

(i)This mirror is used as a side-view mirror in vehicles to give a smaller view of the vehicles coming from behind.
(ii)They are used in jewellery shops and malls and any other place where there is a requirement for detecting thefts.
(iii) Convex mirrors are used in making lenses for sunglasses and are used in Hypermetropia defects of the eyes.
(iv)Convex mirrors are used in magnifying glasses, and telescopes.
(v)Convex mirrors are used to reflect street light; because they can reflect over a wide area.
(vi)Convex mirrors are kept at the blind U-turn street corners to avoid collisions.
