Concave Mirrors
By reflecting light, concave mirrors produce virtual, erect, enlarged objects that are closer to the mirror’s pole than the focal length and real, inverted images of objects that are farther away from the focus.
Uses of Concave Mirrors
(i)Concave mirrors are used in torches, searchlights, and headlights of vehicles.
(ii)Concave mirrors are also used as shaving mirrors to see a larger image of the face or, hair.
(iii)Dentists use concave mirrors to see bigger images of the teeth of the patients.
(iv)Large concave mirrors are used to focus sunlight to produce heat in solar furnaces.
(v) It is used in Microscopes and Telescopes, etc.
