Define Force of cohesion.
It is the force of attraction between the molecules of the same substances.
It is the force of attraction between the molecules of the same substances.
There are two types of intermolecular force:- Force of cohesion Force of adhesion
A Molecule is defined as the smallest unit of matter, which has an independent existence and can retain complete physical and chemical properties of the matter.
An atom is defined as the smallest unit of matter which may or may not have an independent existence.
An Element is a substance, which cannot be subdivided into two or more simpler substances by any chemical means.
When force is applied on a pivoted body, it can turn it and turning of body about point of rotation is called TURNING EFFECT.
It is the cause which changes the state of a body or it changes the size or shape of the body.
Change of liquid to vapour state on heating at constant temperature. It is fast process and produce hotness.
Surface phenomenon i.e. only takes place in surface “Is change of liquid into vapour”. Evaporation has cooling effect. Takes place at all temperatures.
Change of a solid to liquid state at a fixed temperature on absorbing heat.
