Define Gravitational potential energy .
The Gravitational potential energy of an object at a point above the ground as the work done in raising it from the ground to that point against gravity.
The Gravitational potential energy of an object at a point above the ground as the work done in raising it from the ground to that point against gravity.
The energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position is called Potential energy.
The energy possessed by a body by virtue of its motion is called Kinetic Energy.
The S.I. unit of work is Joule.
Work done is said to be zero if the applied force is zero or displacement is zero or the angle between displacement and force is 90.
Work done is said to be negative if the applied force is in a direction opposite to that of displacement.
Work done is said to be positive if the applied force is in the distance of the displacement.
Positive work Negative work Zero work
Any activity that requires muscular or mental effort is called work.
The two types of mechanical energy are :- Kinetic energy Potential energy
