Define Brownian movement.
The zig-zag motion of particles is known as Brownian movement.
The zig-zag motion of particles is known as Brownian movement.
The intermixing of particles of one kind with another kind is known as diffusion.
The force of attraction between the particles of the same substance is known as cohesive force.
The molecules of liquids and gases are far apart as compared to solids, hence liquids and gases can flow but solids do not have gaps so they can’t flow.
Substances which can flow are known as fluids. Both gases and liquids are fluids, e.g. gases (O2, CO2), liquids (H2O, petrol ).
The three states of matter are : – Solid state LIquid state Gaseous state
Atoms may or may not have independent existance but molecules have independent existence.
Molecules are the smallest unit of matter and has the capability of exsisting indepently.
Living matter:- Anything that can grow, move and reproduce on their own is called living matter . It is natural Non-living matter:- Anthing that does not grow, move or reproduce on its own that is known as non-living matter. It can be natural or man made.
