Asia can be divided into five regions. These are Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Western Asia.

When choosing where to visit, it’s easiest to divide the country into distinct regions: North, West, South, East & Northeast, and Central India.

South AsiaIndia, country that occupies the greater part of South Asia.

A region is a large area of land that is different from other areas of land, for example because it is one of the different parts of a country with its own customs and characteristics, or because it has a particular geographical feature.

A family mausoleum is a distinct, private, aboveground structure built specifically at an individual’s request, usually to entomb multiple members of a single family.

A mausoleum is a tomb which has been purpose-built to lay one or more people to rest above ground, instead of buried in the earth. After a cremation funeral, ashes can be interred in above-ground vaults in a mausoleum known as a columbarium.

In fact, as building techniques advanced, pyramids evolved greatly over time. Pyramids trace their DNA to the tombs of early pharaohs. Those tombs are called mastabas. The word means “eternal home.” Mastabas are low, flat topped rectangles with outwardly sloping sides.

The Taj Mahal was built as a tomb for Mumtaz Mahal (“Chosen One of the Palace”) by her husband, the Mughal emperor Shah Jahān (reigned 1628–58). She died in childbirth in 1631, after having been the emperor’s inseparable companion since their marriage in 1612.
