Relationship between the mansabdar and the jagir: Mansabdars were those who joined Mughal service. Jagirs were the salaries of the mansabdars in the form of revenue assignments. It means mansabdars received jagirs as their salaries. Hence, mansabdars depended upon jagirs for their livelihood.
