A landslide is the movement of a lot of earth and rocks down the slope of a mountain or cliff, and it could be affected by endogenic and exogenic forces.

Although the terms erosion and denudation are used interchangeably, erosion is the transport of soil and rocks from one location to another, and denudation is the sum of processes, including erosion, that result in the lowering of Earth’s surface.

Landslides are a type of soil erosion which transports soil at a short time and very large volume. While causes of soil erosion are rainfall, soil, slope, vegetation, and humans. Landslides and erosion are being related to the soil.

(1) Soil conservation is a process of protecting the soil from erosion. (1) Soil erosion is the removal or destruction of the top layer of soil by natural forces and human activities. (2) It is the destruction of the top layer of soil by natural forces and human activities.

Sand dunes are hills of sand that are made by winds as they blow across deserts. The more powerful a wind is, the farther it can carry particles of sand before they drop to the ground. As they roll and bounce on the ground, these particles create small, wave-shaped ripples of sand.

Floodplains are produced by lateral movement of a stream and by overbank deposition; therefore they are absent where downcutting is dominant. Any erosional widening of one bank is approximately equalled by deposition on the opposite side of the channel in the form of bar development along the inside of meander bends.

Flood plains are naturally very fertile due to the river sediment which is deposited there. This sediment is good for growing plants on the flood plain.

When the smaller rock pieces (now pebbles, sand or soil) are moved by these natural forces, it is called erosion. So, if a rock is changed or broken but stays where it is, it is called weathering.If the pieces of weathered rock are moved away, it is called erosion.

The most familiar endogenic processes involve vulcanism, metamorphism , earthquakes , crustal warping , folding and faulting .

Endogenic processes in geology are a function of a body’s internal geodynamic activity. They comprise volcanic, tectonic, and isostatic processes, which shaped the surfaces of all terrestrial planets, the Moon, and basically all other Solar System bodies with solid surfaces that have been observed in some detail.
