The Himalayas stretch across the northeastern portion of India. They cover approximately 1,500 mi (2,400 km) and pass through the nations of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Bhutan and Nepal.

India, our country is a huge and beautiful land full of wonders. From the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean, the Desert of Thar in the snowy mountains of Sikkim, it is a country full of beautiful landscapes and beautiful people. India is a unique country with diversity.

A number of large rivers—the Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna, and Kaveri (Cauvery) on the west and the Ganges (Ganga) and Brahmaputra on the north—flow into the Bay of Bengal.

Arabian Sea Mumbai is located on the West Coast of India. Bounded by India, the Arabian Sea is a region of the Indian Ocean.

The Indian Ocean is a vast theater, stretching from the Strait of Malacca and western coast of Australia in the East to the Mozambique Channel in the West. It encompasses the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea in the North, all the way down to the southern Indian Ocean.

 India is the world’s largest democracy, with a 1.3 billion population. It is also the world’s second largest country, after China’s 1.4 billion population.

India our country, is located in the Northern Hemisphere. It extends between 8°4′ to 37°6′ north latitudes and 68°7 and 97°25′ east longitudes. The Tropic of Cancer cuts the country into half at 23030′ north latitude.

The Bay of Bengal is the northeastern part of the Indian Ocean, bounded on the west and northwest by India, on the north by Bangladesh, and on the east by Myanmar and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India.
