Major domains of the earth is a basic concept in Geography. Solid (Lithosphere), gaseous (Atmosphere), liquid (Hydrosphere) and biosphere parts of the earth are not isolated, but they overlap with each other.
The four major domains of the earth are : – Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere and Biosphere.

Significance of the biosphere: -The biosphere provides a base for the food chain, a food network in which material and energy are distributed through animals, contributing to complex systems that help to sustain the environment and the survival of species.
