Reflex actions are formed instantaneously in reaction to a stimulus that does not give the brain a chance to process it. For instance, the nerves that control the hand’s muscles are related to the sensory nerves that detect heat. A reflex arc is a relationship between recognising the nerve signal (input) and quickly reacting to it (output).
The spinal cord is where reflex actions are produced, and the brain also receives the information. This makes it easier for the brain to remember and event this event for future use. The brain helps the individual in being aware of the stimulus and avoid future danger from the situation.
